Ethical Non-Monogamy and Polyamory Therapy in NYC

We offer ethical non-monogamy therapy for couples and individuals in Williamsburg, Union Square and Chelsea, and online in New York State. The first step is a free 15-minute video call with Lola Noero, LCSW.

Who comes to this therapy

Lola sees people who are already in open, polyamorous or other ethically non-monogamous relationships. She also sees people who are thinking about opening up their relationship, some as a couple and some on their own through individual therapy.

Some come because they keep talking past each other about agreements, jealousy or time with other partners, or because intimacy at home has changed. When one partner has broken an agreement, a couple may come to rebuild trust after infidelity. Others are expecting a baby and want to think through how parenthood will change their arrangement.

What happens in sessions

With couples, Lola draws on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, which looks at the pattern partners get caught in and the feelings underneath it. She also uses Internal Family Systems, which works with the different parts of a person that pull in different directions.

Starting, fees and offices

You can book a free 15-minute consultation with the button below to see the live times and agree on your fee. The practice is out-of-network and submits insurance claims for you, and some places are kept at lower fees through a sliding scale program. Lola sees clients at the offices named above or online.

Will the therapist try to get us to be monogamous?

No. Lola's couples work includes open, polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships, so the structure you have chosen is the starting point, not the problem to fix.
